The ElectIndex Map Tool is a free electoral map maker and 2026 prediction game. Call the winners race by race at any confidence level, save your ballot before polls close on Election Day, and see how you did against the results and everyone else. Or draw any map you like — presidential, Senate, House, or county by county.
Six canvases cover the maps people actually argue about: the presidential race for any cycle from 1928 to 2028, the 2026 Senate and governor contests, all 435 House districts, the full sweep of 3,142 counties, and any single state broken down to its counties. Pick a candidate and a confidence level, then click a unit to set it — or drag across the map to fill a whole region at once.
You do not have to start from a blank map. Load the real results of any past presidential election, drop in the current ElectIndex 2026 forecast ratings, or build a scenario from scratch. Every change is saved automatically in your browser, and a full undo history lets you experiment freely without losing your place.
Predictions save to a free ElectIndex account and lock at 6 PM Eastern on November 3, 2026. Once results come in they are graded three ways — plain accuracy, confidence-weighted points, and a Brier score — and ranked on a public leaderboard you can search by name — with a detailed scorecard you can share as a link, a summary or a card. Free-draw maps need no account at all: they live in a shareable link, or export as a clean SVG or high-resolution PNG.
