2028 Polling
Every 2028 presidential poll we track — the Democratic and Republican primary fields, hypothetical general-election matchups, and the handful of states anyone has polled yet. Quality-weighted averages, honestly labelled. This is polling, not a forecast.

About this page
What 2028 polling can and cannot tell you
This page tracks every public poll of the 2028 presidential race — the Democratic and Republican primary fields, hypothetical general-election matchups, and the small number of states anyone has polled. It is a record of public opinion, not a forecast: ElectIndex does not publish a 2028 model.
Primary polling more than two years out measures name recognition at least as much as support. Candidates who are famous for other reasons routinely lead early fields and fade once voters learn about the rest; candidates who eventually win often poll in single digits at this stage. Read the numbers as a map of who the public can currently name.
General-election matchups are thinner still. Nobody has been nominated, most pairings have been asked only a handful of times, and a fifth of respondents typically say they do not know. We show the undecided share on every matchup so the gap between the two named candidates is never mistaken for the whole picture.
State polling is thinner again: sixteen states have been polled at all, and only two by more than one firm. The States tab maps who leads each primary field — and the general-election margin where one has been asked — but only in the states that actually have a poll. Everywhere else stays blank, because filling in the rest of the country would imply state-by-state data that does not exist.
Averages are weighted by pollster quality and recency, banned pollsters are excluded, and every underlying poll can be sorted, searched and downloaded as CSV in the Polls tab. Poll data is sourced from The New York Times' public polling dataset.
